Copper Internet is being phased out, so fiber will be your only option
Last week, we announced that the FCC passed a regulation allowing Verizon to retire (i.e., “eliminate”) copper services from their facilities in the State of Maryland. As a reminder, Verizon has started this process and will continue to switch over their services throughout 2017 and 2018. If you are currently using Internet or voice over copper, now is the time to figure out what your specific options are. This transition may require some coordination on your part, but your company will be rewarded by a superior and faster Internet service and higher quality voice.
What should you do to get the upgrade?
